Emeka Adiele signs first pro contract with West Ham

West Ham United have secured the future of their talented Nigerian wing-back, Emeka Adiele, who committed to the Hammers by signing a new contract.

The young fullback celebrated his seventeenth birthday on Wednesday by putting pen to paper on his first professional deal, a milestone reflecting his impressive development.

Adiele's new contract comes as a reward for his standout performances in West Ham's academy teams. He made his debut in the U18 Premier League at just 15 years old, showcasing his skills early on.

More recently, he appeared in the Premier League 2, making a significant impact off the bench during a 2-0 victory against Norwich City in April.

His promising trajectory includes debuts in prestigious competitions such as the FA Youth Cup and the Premier League International Cup.

In his first year as a scholar, Adiele was directly involved in nine goals, scoring four and assisting five, a testament to his versatility and attacking prowess.

During the pre-season, Adiele started for West Ham's development squad in matches against Ebbsfleet and Maidenhead. His inclusion in the travelling squad for a training camp in Spain further underscored the club's confidence in his potential.

Looking ahead, Adiele has set his sights on training with the Hammers' first team in the upcoming season.

The young talent expressed his ambitions, stating, "I am excited about the future and eager to keep improving. My goal is to make my professional debut soon and contribute to the team's success."
