England star Jude Bellingham calls on Borussia Dortmund to remain calm for final stretch

England and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham has called on the Bundesliga leaders to keep their calm with five games left to go in what has been a season of high drama.

The lead at the top of the Bundesliga standings once again changed hands on the weekend with Dortmund's impressive 4-0 win and Bayern Munich's loss to Mainz seeing BvB go one point clear of the Bavarians.

Bellingham was again the heartbeat of the Dortmund midfield and got on the scoresheet for the first time in 15 Bundesliga matches as Dortmund bounced back from the 3-3 draw with Stuttgart. With the season drawing to a close, the 19-year-old has asked his teammates to temper their emotions.

"The way I look at it, things change quickly in this league, especially this season," Bellingham told bundesliga.com. "Last week, we were out of it, we were dead. The week before we had a chance. The week before that we were out of it and dead again. So, for me it's about staying [focused] during the positives and the negatives. There's no point getting too high and there's no point getting too low."

Should Dortmund carry it through, it would be their first Bundesliga title since 2012.

Eight wins on the bounce since the turn of the year were punctuated by a loss to Bayern and draws with Schalke and Stuttgart but it appears Edin Terzic's men are returning to form at just the right time.
