Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has always seen "huge potential" in Marcus Rashford and believes he is a similar player to Kylian Mbappe.
Rashford scored three World Cup goals for England in Qatar, during the group stage, prior to their quarter-final defeat to France on Saturday.
The 25-year-old forward has also enjoyed somewhat of a resurgence under Ten Hag at the Red Devils, where he's scored four goals and provided two assists in his 14 Premier League appearances this season.
Ten Hag is delighted to see Rashford find some form and reckons the England international is a big talent.
"From the first moment, I recognised huge potential," the former Ajax head coach said.
"And now to get out the potential, I believe when Marcus's positioning is on the back of the defending line, there is almost no better player in the world.
"There is Mbappe in this moment, a type like him. But when he (Rashford)'s getting in that position, he's great and you see he's really improved also out of possession."
Ten Hag is also hopeful that Rashford would sign a new contract, but even if he doesn't the club have an option to extend, and they appear keen to do so.
"We are talking to them to extend contracts," added Ten Hag. "But we have control because we have an option on all the players and we will exercise those options."
