Swallows FC coach Ernst Middendorp is determined to bring in two new players to support striker Evans Rusike.
Despite a goalless draw against SuperSport United in their DStv Premiership match, Middendorp was pleased with his team's performance, saying, "We have Evans Rusike on board to bolster our attack. We just need to get players who will support him."
The draw keeps Swallows in 15th place in the league, with only three points separating them from the bottom.
Despite the missed goal opportunity for Rusike, Middendorp remains confident in his striker's abilities, stating, "He will get better with time, and we will improve once we finalize a couple of deals to bolster our squad."
The coach is also optimistic about his team's future, saying, "We were good defensively and on transition. If we can add two or three players before the transfer window closes, we will be a much better side."
Middendorp sees SuperSport United as a formidable opponent, saying, "I'm convinced that we will see SuperSport in second place" behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. However, he is content with the one point earned from the match, saying, "We played with all the capacity and resource we have."
In conclusion, Middendorp is determined to strengthen his squad and is confident in his team's growth and potential for success.
