His comments followed Ghana's disappointing campaign in the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, where the team have secured just two points from four matches, putting their chances of reaching the tournament in Morocco at serious risk.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Manso highlighted the need for a shift in attitude among the Black Stars' squad, suggesting that the team's mindset has contributed to their recent struggles.
"The Black Stars need a change of attitude," Manso stated. "As it stands, their chances of qualifying for AFCON look slim, but they must shift their focus and commitment towards the World Cup qualifiers."
Manso expressed frustration with the team's recurring pattern of leaving it late to chase victories, saying, "It's bad to see them scrambling to win games only in the final minutes. I know some players are committed, but those who aren't should be dropped.
"These are the same players who'll feature in the World Cup qualifiers, and we can't afford a repeat of this lacklustre approach."
Manso went on to criticise players who, he felt, prioritised their club commitments over national duty, urging Addo to take "drastic action" to reshape the squad.
"Some players seem to be putting their clubs before the national team," he added, calling for accountability and suggesting that players who lack commitment could hold the team back in its upcoming campaigns.
With World Cup qualifiers beginning in March 2025, Ghana's national team, currently second in Group I, are set to face Chad and Madagascar in pivotal matches.
Manso's remarks underline the urgent need for Ghana to revitalise its squad and approach as they aim for a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
