The Matsatsantsa mentor was reacting to their 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday night, which sees them remain in sixth place.
Hunt felt the maximum points were there for the taking but was content to share the spoils with last season’s third placed team.
''I thought we played well at times and we created some really good chances, some good patterns of play, and some good movements. Just disappointing, we fought back after a goal down, which they got. But we played against a good side, they are playing well. But all in all are we happy, no, but we are playing well and look better as a team,'' said Hunt.
SuperSport had to chase the game after Jayden Adams put the visitors in the lead, but striker Tashreeq Morris came to the rescue for the Tshwane side.
Hunt explains how that goal was straight from the training ground.
''When we practice, these are at training, to get the patterns right and you get your third man in. When we stay away from it, we try and play clever and we don't have that, we don't have these types of players. I mean the goal was excellent, even the second one it was a better movement and easier chance. So we just need to pick it up, you know,'' added Hunt.
His counterpart Steve Barker believes the stalemate was what both sides deserved.
Furthermore, Barker says their encounter with SuperSport could have been decided by thin margins. The Stellies mentor also touched on their quick recovery as they return to CAF Confederation Cup action next month.
''It was one of those games, where there was just a little moment here and there. I mean just before that SuperSport had a big shot, and a good block for us. But yah, we got a little bit of luck maybe - which started at the end. But a good point away from home, it's been a good job from us. 2024, it is our 42nd game of the year, we played a lot of football, time to get back to Cape Town and get some legs rested. We will rest and get back in 2025 and prepare. We still got a chance in the Confed to qualify for the knockout stage. We are very desperate to get to the knockout stage but also continue to do well in the league,'' said Barker.
