Guinea's Serhou Guirassy wins Bundesliga's Player of the Month for September

VfB's current top goalscorer Guirassy fended off the likes of Bayern Munich duo Leroy Sane and Harry Kane, Bayer 04 Leverkusen pair Alejandro Grimaldo and Victor Boniface, and VfB team-mate Chris Führich.

"I'm very pleased to have been named Player of the Month," Guirassy said.

"I want to thank my team-mates, without whom this wouldn't have been possible, as well as everyone who voted for me."

The 27-year-old has 13 goals from just seven Bundesliga matches.
