How Morgan Mammila pysched up Goodman Mosele against Orlando Pirates

Chippa United head coach Morgan Mammila has described how he psyched up the club’s anchorman Goodman Mosele for the Orlando Pirates Dstv Premiership game last night at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Gqeberha.

Mosele, on loan from Pirates, scored the equalizer yesterday for the Chillie Boys during the one-all draw, in a great move and well-taken goal.

Mammila reveals that he reminded Mosele about the Telkom Knockout final trophy when they were still together at Baroka FC, and they defeated Pirates at the same venue.

"I showed them especially Mosele, the Baroka versus Pirates when we beat Pirates through penalties, Telkom Cup. I showed him how cool he was," Mammila said.

"I then took him to Pirates; I said 'You've done well at Pirates. You even got a call up to the national team. It doesn't mean that when you are no longer playing for Pirates you are not good enough. The only thing that I'm going to ask you, is don't show Pirates, show the country that you are a better player and he agreed.

He said 'Morgan thank you for being there for me, you are my father. I'm going to reward you with a good game."

Mosele has now collected two man-of-the-match awards from the first three games of the season, interestingly against Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates.

The Eastern Cape side remains unbeaten after these three games, having drawn all these matches and Mammila says the players responded positively to this game.

"And credit to all the players because we planned for Pirates, they are an energetic team offensive wise. The only thing I had to do was to give them wide, so they can go wide. When I gave them that, they couldn't break us, I must be honest.

We created so many chances, far better than Orlando Pirates. We are a grade-A team. It's not a joke, it's not a fluke. We are not here to give teams an easy ride. We are going to be a difficult team for the rest of the season to play against."
