The two teams lock horns at Orlando Stadium tomorrow evening (19:30) in a game that will be shown live on SABC Sport.
After Pirates were held to a goalless draw in Saint Pierre, Mauritius, last Sunday, Riveiro says killing off their games early will work in their favour.
"I wish, not [only] tomorrow but every game, it's about finding our rhythm as soon as possible in the game, have a good beginning, and obviously it's going to be key," said Riveiro.
"I can tell you a pile of typical sentences in this type of scenario, but the truth is that we need to play close to our best performance one more time, and that's what we're looking for.
"The beginning of every game is going to be key, and respecting the opponent because, even though we dominated [in possession] and had a terrible [sic] amount of chances to score there, it was strange that the game finished 0-0."
The Spanish tactician is not even thinking about another possible elimination at this stage of the competition, and issued a reminder that they don’t need to win by a big margin to advance to the next stage.
"We are ready to make it possible that we go through to the next round, we are preparing ourselves to win the match – we don't need to win it 10-0, we just need to win the game," he added.
"We are playing home and we're confident, we know much more about the opponent than one week ago. We are a bunch of coaches and players extremely optimistic about every game.
"And tomorrow we're going to try offer a good game to our fans and make sure we're in the next round."
