Josh-Kofi Acheampong praises Enzo Maresca's coaching at Chelsea

Josh-Kofi Acheampong, the English-born Ghanaian talent, has expressed his gratitude for the support and guidance provided by Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca.

Acheampong, who debuted in Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Tottenham in May, commended Maresca's approach, highlighting his helpfulness and encouraging nature.

"Maresca has been incredibly supportive since I joined the club," Acheampong remarked. "He always offers detailed and precise instructions on how he wants us to play and encourages open communication.

"He told me to ask questions and be open, which has been very beneficial for my development."

In an interview with Chelsea Communications, Acheampong elaborated on his positive experiences with Maresca. "As a coach, he's really detailed and precise. He wants us to play a certain way, and I really like it.

"As a person, he's always happy and smiling, which makes the training environment very positive."

Acheampong also emphasized the significant support he received from his teammates, mentioning players like Noni Madueke, Carney Chukwuemeka, Malo Gusto, Axel Disasi, and Benoit Badiashile.

Their assistance has been crucial in helping him adapt to the first-team environment. He particularly drew inspiration from Reece James, who progressed through the academy to become Chelsea's captain, and valued the friendship of Tyrique George, with whom he shares his journey.

"It's good to have a friend who has been on the journey with you. We can talk about things and reminisce," Acheampong said, underlining the importance of camaraderie in his development as a player.

With robust support from both his coach and teammates, Acheampong is poised for a promising future at Chelsea. His positive experiences and the strong network around him have set a solid foundation for his career at the club.
