The young midfielder, now a pivotal figure for both Madrid and England, has accumulated an impressive trophy cabinet including the Champions League, La Liga title, Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup since his move to Madrid for 103 million euros in the summer of 2023.
Despite his success, former United striker Dwight Yorke has floated the idea of Bellingham returning to England. "Man Utd would need 150 million pounds to have a chance of signing Jude Bellingham," Yorke said, emphasizing the need for United to make a statement signing to reignite their competitive edge.
"Look at Man United's history, every two to three years, the club would bring in a high-profile signing. I can't remember the last big signing Man United have made, maybe Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016.
"Man United need to make rivals go 'oof, what a signing'. They need to break the bank for a big-time player, like Real Madrid do," he added.
However, Yorke acknowledges the pecking order at Madrid, noting, "Bellingham will never be the main guy at the club now, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe are higher than him in the pecking order. It reminds me of the trio of Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, and Luis Figo."
Bellingham, at just 21, seems content in Spain, focusing on building his legacy with Real Madrid before contemplating any move, making a transfer back to England currently seem like a distant dream for United.
On another note, Manchester United are also navigating other transfer activities. Marcus Rashford's future at the club looks uncertain as his representatives engaged in further discussions with AC Milan. A six-month loan deal appears to be on the cards, which would suit Milan's immediate needs while navigating post-Brexit transfer rules.
Meanwhile, United have kept an eye on Wolverhampton Wanderers' Joao Gomes, with the Brazilian midfielder potentially on the move.
Wolves have previously set a valuation of 60 million pounds for Gomes, and United's interest is part of a broader strategy to bolster their midfield under new management, although they face competition from Liverpool.
