The match saw an early blitz from Chiefs, with Ranga Chivaviro opening the scoring in the 12th minute after his initial shot was parried by AmaZulu's goalkeeper, Olwethu Mzimela.
Just two minutes later, Gaston Sirino doubled the lead with a stunning shot into the top corner.
Chiefs extended their advantage in the 24th minute when Inacio Miguel rose high to head home from a corner.
AmaZulu struggled to respond in the first half, and Etiosa Ighodaro thought he had pulled one back in the 33rd minute, but his effort was ruled offside.
However, Ighodaro made amends shortly after the break, capitalising on a defensive lapse to make it 3-1 in the 47th minute.
AmaZulu had several chances to further reduce the deficit. Thabang Moremi hit the crossbar and Rushwin Dortley cleared off the line in a dramatic 50th minute.
Ighodaro came close again in the 80th minute, heading against the post. Chiefs' defence held firm, with goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari making a crucial save near the far post late on.
Despite missed opportunities from Sirino and Christian Saile, Kaizer Chiefs managed to hold on to their two-goal cushion.
This victory marked Chiefs' second consecutive win, solidifying their recent momentum.
