Kaizer Chiefs look to celebrate birthday with Sekhukhune United scalp

As Kaizer Chiefs celebrate their 53rd birthday on Saturday, head coach Arthur Zwane says their main focus against Sekhukhune United is to collect maximum points.

The two teams will clash at the FNB Stadium at 20:00, with Chiefs turning the DStv Premiership fixture into an occasion as tickets go for half-price (R30).

With Amakhosi on a good run of results, having won five of their last seven matches, Zwane is wary of facing an equally improving Babina Noko.

"We're playing against a team [that], actually, are very difficult and have very good players, with a new coach as well, and they won their last game 3-2, if I'm not mistaken, against Marumo Gallants," said Zwane.

"So, I've watched their game, they've done very well and like any other team, they have their strong points and weaknesses, and the focus now is to make sure we capitalise on their weaknesses, but it's not going to be an easy game.

"They're coming to us and we just have to make sure we get maximum points because we're playing at home, but we know very well that three points won't just come on a silver platter, we're going to have to dig deep and give our utmost best to get the result."

Newly appointed Sekhukhune head coach Brandon Truter is largely considered very pragmatic in his approach and difficult to beat by his counterparts, and Zwane is quite familiar with the former AmaZulu mentor.

"His approach is very unpredictable, we don't know how he's going to approach the game. This time around we're playing against Sekhukhune now, and the playing personnel is not the same as what he had at AmaZulu," he added.

"So, that is why I'm saying, he's definitely a coach that you never know how he's going to approach the game, so we'll have to be ready for whatever that he will try to throw at us."
