Motaung was answering SABC Sport’s questions around talk that the current technical team is limited in experience and needs bolstering for the club to be competitive again.
He says, if there’s a need for support for the technical team in the new season, they will consider roping in additional personnel.
"Obviously, we're doing a review in terms of support, we need to support them. We never put them there to fail, we put them there to develop and help them grow," stressed Motaung.
"I think, when we do our review at the end of the season, we'll see where we need to beef up and where we need to support, and as I said, we're also learning from the challenges of this season.
"We are definitely going to make sure that we assist and add more value to the [technical] staff and the players."
With his younger brother and club sporting director Kaizer Motaung Junior now more involved in the technical operations of the club as well as recruitment of players, Motaung was asked if he’s still active at the club like before.
"I'm still involved. The only thing is [that] my brother is obviously the sporting director, and he is more in the front in terms of the phase. But, I'm part of the team, I'm part of the business and I'm part of the Kaizer Chiefs family," he responded.
"It's only that somebody must take the back seat, somebody must lead. We can't all be in the forefront and trying to show face. But I'm there full-time, I'm part of the organisation and I'm part of any decision that's being taken, and operational issues, we are working together."
