Despite being in fifth place on the log table after nine matches, the former Lesotho international isn’t getting ahead of himself.
Rise and Shine were promoted alongside Cape Town Spurs for the 2023/24 season, and it’s City who’ve had a softer landing, but that isn’t clouding Seema’s judgement.
"We are playing for survival. We cannot say we... Definitely, every game we play, every point counts, we are playing for survival," insisted Seema.
"We want to make sure that, come next season, we're still in the league, and then we can say, 'No, we now have one season behind us, and we can see what will come.'
"That is why we're trying and keeping our feet on the ground, so we can collect as many points as we can, especially at home – we're having a good run at home."
The coach, who was appointed to help Duncan Lechesa at the beginning of the campaign following a brief stint with Chippa United, sees their victory over Richards Bay prior to the FIFA break as one that could determine their mentality in the coming months.
"We got our first away win against Richards Bay – a game that was very tough for us, and I think that game is the one that has set the tone for us for the rest of the season because the character was tested there, but the guys came out tops," he added.
"But, definitely, we are playing for survival to make sure that, come the end of the season, we are not down there where we can be in danger."
