A goal from debutant striker Andy Boyeli was enough to help Babina Noko see through a tough opening Betway Premiership encounter against the newly promoted side.
Seema praised his side for following instructions as he guided them past one of his mentors in Clinton Larsen.
"It's not even about my experience, it was a collective effort from the management, technical team, our supporters behind us, and the players," said Seema.
"Credit must go to the players because they are the ones that put the hard work in to make sure we get the maximum points against a very, very difficult Magesi.
"I knew [it was going to be tough] because their coach is one of my mentors and one who I have a good relationship with, but we are happy that we are over this hurdle and we're now looking forward to the next battles coming up."
Seema also believes Boyeli getting off the mark early on will now settle his nerves ahead of a long campaign.
"Look, it's always nice to get a goal – especially as a striker – in your first game, it gives him the confidence, but, of course, he still has to adjust and acclimatise," he added.
"So we are not going to say, 'Now I think we have our man.' There's still a lot of work to do, and you can see there's a lot we can do because 1-0 – I will take it, but if you look at the chances and moments, we should do better.
"But I'm happy for Andy, and we're looking forward to having him and working with him."
