Lehlohonolo Seema sizes up Richards Bay ahead of Carling Knockout tie

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema described their Carling Knockout clash against Richards Bay this evening as a fixture between two teams still finding their feet this season.

Both have made changes in the dugout, with Seema returning to Babina Noko to replace Peter Hyballa, while Brandon Truter took over from Vusumuzi Vilakazi.

Seema insists there will be no favourites at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

''I think both teams are in transition. Like you mentioned, I came back and so he went there. It is a team that you can see is improving in each and every game, you can check the way they play and the margin of the scores that were there - you can tell that they are doing well. We are expecting a difficult game, I don't think that me being there is giving me that edge, I think this break is giving all the coaches a lot of time to work on whatever they want to work on. I think it is going to be a difficult game,'' said Seema.

With Sekhukhune unbeaten in the Betway Premiership after three matches, they are the on form side and Seema believes they bounced back strong following their elimination in the MTN8 back in August.

''During that time, the first games that we played - we played three games in the league. The one that you are talking about, it is where as a technical team we try to check how far we are as a team. We are trying to get those combinations that you are talking about, but at the moment I can say at least we have an idea of how we want to play. We have an understanding of the players, the new ones and the old ones, the relationships are building. Starting from this game going forward, there's something that should be happening, because we have been working on it for some time,'' added Seema.

Seema was also asked about the progress of midfielder Mbule, who has joined the club on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.

''It's good to have a guy like Sipho, like you said he looks happy at training, he is working hard. We are quite aware that he hasn't played for some time, but it is always nice to have him in the mix. We will build him gradually, you will see him here and there in the matches up until we can say he can push for 90 minutes, but for now we are building him so he doesn't break down on us. But it is good to have him around, he brings experience and a lot of maturity. Yes we still have a lot of work to do on him,  but we are happy with his progress,'' he expressed.

Another player just signed by Sekhukhune is attacker Lesedi Kapinga, who arrived as a free agent from Orlando Pirates.

Seema gave an update on his integration to the team.

''The good thing is that he was in the team that went to do the pre-season previously where he was. He was not that far, he is close and he is looking good, once you can have a clean beat of health and that gives you an edge. We are excited to have him in the mix, he is not far - soon you see him do his thing in the Sekhukhune colours,'' he concluded.
