Leicester boss Enzo Maresca praises Issahaku Fatawu but demands more from hat-trick hero

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca is calling on Issahaku Fatawu to become more consistent.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian winger, who is currently on loan with the Foxes from Sporting, has seven goals and 12 assists in 41 appearances for the title-chasing Championship side.

He netted a hat-trick in the 5-0 victory over Southampton on Tuesday to help his team further cement their place at the top of the league standings with just two games of the season to play.

Leicester are four points clear of Leeds United and seemingly on course for an immediate return to the Premier League.

Fatawu has certainly played his part in the club's promotion bid but Maresca admits the youngster still has a lot to learn.

He said on BBC Radio Leicester: "He's young, he needs to learn many things.

"The problem with young players is they are up and down."

Jokingly, the manager added: "I just said to him that the next two games, he is going to be on the bench.

"Otherwise, he'll start to shoot from everywhere, because he scored!"

Leicester need to win one of their remaining games to seal promotion but could also go up if Leeds lose at QPR.

Maresca added: "He deserves it. He needs to learn how to manage himself, but the performance was very good."
