Sane's resurgence this season is nothing short of remarkable, especially when compared to his performances in the previous campaign and the 2021/22 season. From being jeered at the Allianz Arena during then-coach Julian Nagelsmann's inaugural season to now, Sane's journey reflects a striking transformation.
Together, Kane and Sane constitute the driving force behind Bayern's goal tally in all competitions. Sane boasts nine goals and nine assists, while Kane, with a staggering 25 goals and eight assists, is poised to challenge Robert Lewandowski's Bundesliga single-season scoring record, a feat that could redefine the league's history in his debut Bayern season.
Speaking with Bayern's official website, Sane shed light on their thriving partnership, drawing from his past encounters with Kane in the Premier League. "I realized very quickly with Harry that it could be a really good fit. He's been one of the best number 9s in the world for many years, with an incredible understanding of the game.
"He knows exactly what makes me tick - and vice versa. I also really like him as a person off the pitch," Sane revealed in the interview.
Kane's tactical versatility, notably his ability to drop deeper, has seamlessly blended with Bayern's attacking prowess.
This aspect of his game, once successful with Heung-Min Son at Tottenham, has found a new dimension in Bayern, where the team's speedsters exploit spaces left behind. Sane, with his exceptional pace, has showcased this on numerous occasions during the first half of the current Bundesliga campaign.
