The Spanish giants have shown admiration for the Argentine, and while no official talks have taken place, Mac Allister's interest in Spanish football could pave the way for a future move.
The 25-year-old has been a key figure in Liverpool's midfield since joining from Brighton, but his long-term future at Anfield is now uncertain.
"Yes, why not?" Mac Allister replied when questioned on the subject by AS.
"It's a country I like a lot and I've visited it several times, and, above all, because of the language and the culture, it's very similar to Argentina. I would definitely like to play in Spain one day."
With Trent Alexander-Arnold reportedly close to a move to Real Madrid and both Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah's contracts set to expire soon, Liverpool fans are growing increasingly concerned about high-profile exits.
While Mac Allister's departure is not imminent, the prospect of losing him, especially to Madrid, would add to Liverpool's potential summer upheaval.
