Liverpool star Mohamed Salah could be tempted by PSG contract

Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool remains uncertain as the January transfer window opens, just six months before he becomes a free agent.

Salah, who is in arguably the best form of his career this season, has yet to commit to an extension at Anfield, despite ongoing negotiations with the club.

While Liverpool have offered the Egyptian forward a £330,000-per-week deal with a two-year contract extension, Paris Saint-Germain appear to have tabled a much more lucrative offer.

The French giants have reportedly presented Salah with a £415,000-per-week contract over three years, making it an enticing option for the 31-year-old.

As it stands, Salah is free to negotiate with clubs outside of England, and PSG's offer could prove difficult for Liverpool to match. However, Salah's preference is to remain at Liverpool, a sentiment he has expressed publicly in the past.

"We are far away from that [contract] and I don't want to put anything in the media," Salah said.

"The only thing on my mind is I want Liverpool to win the league and I want to be part of that.

"I will do my best for the team to win the trophy. There is a few other teams catching up with us and we need to stay focused and humble and go again."

With the clock ticking on his current deal, the coming months will be crucial in determining Salah's future.

Whether he stays at Anfield or makes the move to PSG, fans are eager to see how the situation unfolds, especially given his importance to Liverpool's success this season.
