He says the country is getting back to its best.
The former defender has applauded the good work done by head coach Hugo Broos and his assistant Helman Mkhalele.
Radebe highlighted that in the two recent AFCON qualifiers where Bafana managed a draw at home and a win away, the players showed a strong mentality.
South Africa came from behind to share the spoils with Uganda and defeated South Sudan in Juba.
''I think Helman being there, it helps a lot - in terms of the mentality of the players when they play in Africa. I think Hugo has done a great job, what he has done in training which is more than what we see in the field of play, it is more than that. But there is still expectations for them to do well, just look at the conditions they played under in South Sudan - they played well and they should keep at it. I think the glory days are coming back soon,'' said Radebe.
Radebe was quick however to advise that when playing at home, Bafana should learn to stamp their authority.
''The fact that we stamped our authority at home, again it was very important that we stamp the authority at home in front of our fans. Even if they play a draw, people can see that we are trying,'' added Radebe.
The ex-Kaizer Chiefs man added that Bafana needs more players abroad, especially in the big leagues.
''All the winning teams have always had international players and when we won Afcon we had international players. If we can get more international players who will play abroad and bring the experience home. I think the level of football will change,'' he expressed.
Radebe says African football has improved tremendously and a lot of progress has been made by many nations, including Bafana Bafana.
Bafana Bafana are back in action next month when they face Congo home and away on match day three and four respectively in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
