Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies to defend CAF Champions League crown in Morocco

The Confederation of African Football have confirmed that Morocco will host the upcoming Women's Champions League finals.

Reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will be joined by South African counterparts University of Western Cape Ladies at the showpiece, which is scheduled for 9-23 November 2024.

This will be the second edition to be hosted in Morocco, following the 2022 tournament which was won by hosts AS FAR, who beat Sundowns Ladies in the final.

The Brazilians won the tournament last year, when it was hosted in Ivory Coast, as well as the inaugural edition hosted in Egypt in 2021.

They will be hoping to defend their crown, and will once again be up against hosts AS FAR, as well as the six zonal qualifiers, including UWC Ladies (COSAFA), Aigles de la Medina of Senegal (WAFU A), EDO Queens of Nigeria (WAFU B), Egypt's Tutankhamun (UNAF), Ethiopia's CBE FC (CECAFA), and DR Congo's TP Mazembe (UNIFFAC).
