Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim issues hands-off warning over Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has ruled out an exit for captain Bruno Fernandes at the end of the season.

Reports last week hinted at a potential move for the United captain to Real Madrid, but Amorim wasted no time in quashing any such rumors.

In a press conference on Monday, Amorim was direct and firm when asked about the speculation surrounding Fernandes' future: "No, it's not going to happen," he stated confidently, adding, "I've already told him he's not going anywhere."

Despite United's turbulent season, which has seen them languish in 13th place in the Premier League, Fernandes has continued to shine. With 16 goals and 16 assists across all competitions, the Portuguese international has been a beacon of consistency, and his 31 combined goal contributions put him only behind Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland in the league.

Having joined United in 2020, the 30-year-old is contracted until 2027, with an option to extend for an additional year. It's clear that Amorim sees him as a central figure in the squad's future, sending a strong message about his intentions to reshape the team around players like Fernandes.

While Manchester United's overall form has struggled, Amorim's reassurances about Fernandes' place in the squad come as a breath of fresh air to fans and a sign of stability amidst a period of transition. It seems the manager is not just focused on the here and now, but also looking to build a foundation for sustained success, with Fernandes playing a key role in that vision.
