Man Utd eye free agent Adrien Rabiot after Juventus exit

The French midfielder, now a free agent following the expiration of his Juventus contract on June 30, has been frequently mentioned in transfer rumours.

Juventus officially announced Rabiot's departure on Thursday, intensifying speculation about his next move.

"Adrien Rabiot and Juventus' paths have parted. The French midfielder's time in Turin has come to an end after five seasons," Juve's statement read.

In addition to Rabiot, Manchester United have made significant strides in strengthening their squad with two confirmed signings.

Joshua Zirkzee has been announced as United's first signing, addressing the crucial need for a new striker.

Zirkzee, although relatively inexperienced, has shown significant potential and is expected to make a substantial impact in the Premier League.

Furthermore, 18-year-old Leny Yoro is close to joining Manchester United. The young centre-back is seen as a promising talent who can bolster the club's defensive options.

These signings align with the club's strategy of targeting youthful players with the potential to develop into key figures for the future.

The centre-back and striker positions were identified as priorities for the club before the season.

With these additions, Manchester United have turned their attention to reinforcing their central midfield, another area in need of strengthening.

The potential departures of Casemiro and Scott McTominay have fuelled speculation about new midfield signings. Sofyan Amrabat, who was on loan from Fiorentina last season, has yet to complete a permanent move to Manchester.

Meanwhile, Joao Neves from Benfica, a long-term target, appears more likely to join Paris Saint-Germain.
