Man Utd eye Nene Dorgeles as replacement for Marcus Rashford

Ruben Amorim and the team are in dire need of forwards, particularly with the possibility of losing at least one striker this month. While Joshua Zirkzee has decided to remain with United, Rashford has openly expressed his desire for a "new challenge." Alejandro Garnacho, meanwhile, is in discussions for a transfer to Napoli.

United have their sights set on Paris Saint-Germain's Randal Kolo Muani, hoping to secure his services before the transfer window closes. However, they are not limiting their search to just one player.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the relatively unknown Mali international, Dorgeles, could be the one to fill Rashford's shoes.

United have included Dorgeles on their shortlist, impressed by his performances in Austria. They are monitoring his development and have initiated talks to understand his transfer fee and availability.

Dorgeles, versatile across the front line but predominantly on the left, has contributed six goals and six assists in 27 games for Salzburg this season, alongside 20 caps for Mali.

On the Rashford front, Catalan newspaper Sport reported that Barcelona is Rashford's "priority" destination. Rashford is keen to join Barca, who are looking to finalize a loan deal, potentially necessitating the sale of other players to balance their books.

However, AC Milan are also in the race, with plans to make an official approach for Rashford.

After defeating Arsenal in the FA Cup, Amorim commented on Rashford's future, saying, "I don't know. We'll see. He is a player for Manchester United... He has to work. He has to represent this club, and he loves this club, but I have to make choices."

The saga with Kolo Muani might be tilting towards Juventus, as per Italian outlet La Repubblica, which stated Kolo Muani has accepted a move to the Serie A club. Despite this, United see him as a "concrete" option for their forward line.

In another transfer twist, Sunderland's Jobe Bellingham seems more likely to join Real Madrid than United. Spanish media suggest that the allure of playing alongside his brother Jude at Real Madrid is strong, although a move might not happen until the summer.

United's transfer window is shaping up to be a strategic dance of acquisitions and departures, with the club looking to refresh and strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season and beyond.
