Man Utd's Marcus Rashford eyes loan move to AC Milan

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly considering a loan move to AC Milan in the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old has struggled for game time under new United manager Ruben Amorim, having last featured in a Europa League match against Viktoria Plzen on 12 December.

Rashford's agents travelled to Italy on Tuesday to engage in talks with Milan's recruitment team.

However, a potential loan deal may face hurdles, as Milan already boasts attacking options including Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic, and Tammy Abraham.

Furthermore, Rashford's wages would need to be heavily subsidised by Manchester United for the move to be financially viable for Milan.

The Italian club, now under new management with Sergio Conceiçao replacing Paulo Fonseca, are actively assessing their options for the January transfer window.

Adding intrigue to the negotiations is Milan legend Zlatan Ibrahimović, who has endorsed Rashford's move.

The Swedish icon, now serving in an executive capacity at Milan, shares a history with Rashford from their time together at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Rashford has declined offers from Saudi clubs, opting to remain in Europe despite interest from Borussia Dortmund and Juventus.

As his return to United's side looks increasingly unlikely - he is expected to miss the FA Cup clash against Arsenal on Sunday - a move to Milan could provide a lifeline for the England international.
