Last summer, Silva expressed his desire to play elsewhere and was linked with Barcelona, but City insisted he stay for at least one more season.
Despite this, Silva had another exceptional campaign with Manchester City, contributing to their historic Treble.
Silva's representatives have reiterated his wish to move, attracting interest from clubs like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. While there's an offer from Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal on the table, Silva is not keen on that move.
Barcelona have a strong interest in signing Silva, but financial constraints have hindered a deal so far. PSG, on the other hand, are determined to acquire Silva, with head coach Luis Enrique expressing his desire for the player.
Talks have been held with both Silva and Manchester City, and PSG are willing to meet City's asking price of approximately £75m.
However, negotiations have not progressed significantly, and City have made it clear to Silva that they cannot afford to lose him this summer.
City manager Pep Guardiola usually allows players who wish to leave to depart, but he is resolute in keeping Silva. The recent sale of Riyad Mahrez and the earlier departure of club captain Ilkay Gundogan have made keeping Silva crucial for City.
While City have explored other midfield options, such as Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich and Nicolo Barella from Inter, they are finding it difficult to find a suitable replacement for Silva.
