According to local media outlet Ruhr Nachrichten, it is "relatively unlikely" that Reus will be able to participate in the game after missing training again today (Monday).
The midfielder suffered an ankle ligament injury in September against Schalke.
Even though Reus's absence would be a significant loss for the team, Dortmund has a strong pool of attacking players such as Karim Adeyemi, Julian Brandt, Giovanni Reyna, Donyell Malen, and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens competing for the three starting positions behind the striker.
The team recently secured a 4-3 victory over Augsburg in their first Bundesliga game of 2023 on Sunday.
