AmaTuks are one of three teams in the Super League looking to play their season opener this weekend, having had five previous matches postponed indefinitely.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Khumalo believes the dysfunctional approach to the new season has affected their plans for the campaign ahead.
"It's our first match of the season after I don't know how many games have been postponed – I think five – because in March we were supposed to have played six games – four games away and then two home," said Khumalo.
"So, to be honest with you, it has a lot of negative impact on our plan, in terms of how our pre-season has gone down the train, other teams have already started and it's quite challenging, especially for us as the technical team.
"Because now we don't know what's going to happen and we don't know if our pre-season was on point or not, because we're only going to play our first game now since the season has started."
Khumalo also touched on the financial implications on teams as result of the disruptive start to the 2025 campaign.
"It's really affected a lot of teams, and most of the teams were supposed to play away games and paid for the travelling costs, and then all of a sudden they've cancelled," she added.
"So who's going to refund the money? Remember in this game there's so much happening, especially financially, so it's having a big negative impact on the financial side of things, players' mentality, so it's not easy.
"I just hope and pray they settle whatever the issues might be very soon so that the league can kick-start and flow again."
