Micah Richards rates Eden Hazard as better than Mohamed Salah

Former Manchester City and England defender Micah Richards has weighed in on the long-running debate between Salah and Eden Hazard.

Salah and Hazard were briefly teammates at Chelsea. Since then, Salah's return to the Premier League with Liverpool has seen him rise to become one of the best wingers in the world.

Comparisons have been drawn between both players, especially due to their impressive records in the Premier League; however, Hazard himself admitted that he believes Salah is the superior player.

Speaking on The Rest is Football Podcast, Richards shared his thoughts on the two Premier League icons, having played alongside Salah at Fiorentina.

"I think Hazard's probably a better all-round player," Richards said.

"But Salah's a bit more devastating, you know, with his numbers and yeah, he's a bit more prolific I would say and yeah, they are a little bit different."

While Hazard's playmaking ability stood out during his time at Chelsea, Salah's game has been defined by his goal-scoring prowess, especially since his move to Liverpool.

Though the debate continues, Richards made it clear he values Hazard's overall game more, while acknowledging Salah's prolific record.
