Mohammed Kudus was delighted with his contribution as West Ham returned to winning ways with a 4-2 win at home to Brentford.
Jarrod Bowen (5', 7, 63') got the Hammers off to a rip-roaring start with two goals inside 10 minutes before completing his hat-trick in the second half.
Emerson Palmieri added a fourth with 69 minutes played, while the Bees found the target through Neal Maupay (13') and Yoane Wissa (82').
The result lifted the Hammers onto 39 points in eighth place, after 26 matches.
Kudus said on Ghanasoccernet: "We needed it. The past games have been very difficult, but it was good to get the reaction and the win in front of the fans. We keep building on it and focus on the next game.
"I think [the two goals in seven minutes] showed how hungry we as players are for the goals because that is what we are supposed to do."
Kudus added: "I'm not surprised [about Jarrod Bowens hat-trick], more is coming.
"I think we wanted it more and you could see that from the start of the game as we got the goals quickly and there was an energy and determination of how much we wanted to win today. It was good to get the three points.
