The future of Dan Malesela still hangs in the balance after he was suspended by the club over allegations that he had been offering players to rival clubs, which prompted Mammila taking over the remaining matches during the PSL play-offs.
Just weeks before the new Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign gets underway, Mammila revealed he will be in charge.
"He asked me to continue because, his exact words were, 'We promoted this team together, so if we did in 2015/16, what's stopping us now,'" said Mammila.
"And one thing is for sure, [Baroka] is the team that has made me who I am, and I can't say no to a big project like this."
Pressed on whether he was in the know regarding what next happens with Malesela, considering he hasn’t yet been officially fired, Mammila claimed he was in the dark.
"I don't know about Dan. I was just told that I'm continuing, and he wants number one [spot in the Motsepe Foundation Championship]," he responded.
The ex-Chippa United technical advisor and coach believes he is the man to help Bakgaga gain promotion back to the DStv Premiership this time around.
"To be honest, Baroka is like other PSL teams, [in terms of] what they have. Even some PSL teams don't have what Baroka have," he added.
"So I'm there to win the league – it's as simple as that."
