Amakhosi, meawhile, grabbed a stoppage-time winner to advance past Cape Town City with a 2-1 victory on Sunday.
The two-legged semis has set up mouth watering re-matches of DStv Premiership fixtures, which saw Sundowns beat Chiefs 2-1 at Lucas Moripe Stadium last Wednesday and Stellenbosch edge out Pirtates in their season-opener at Danie Craven Stadium on 5 August.
