The centre-back from Chad has joined Matsatsantsa on a one-year contract, hoping to impress and remain in the PSL beyond June 2025.
Mbangossoum insists he also wants to play in continental tournaments.
"After training, I told the captain, 'Bro, I need to play CAF [inter-club competitions] because I know what I'm seeing here.' He's like, 'If you have something, we can achieve it in this place,'" said Mbangossoum.
"So I'm here to play CAF bro – I think you have good [potential], so we are going to [aim] for CAF [tournaments]."
After a fallout with his Moroccan club Union Touarga, which saw him out of action for several months, the lanky 24-year-old was meant to join TS Galaxy initially, but says he could not ignore the interest from SuperSport in the end.
"Yes, I was supposed to join another club, but I think I made a good choice. As a young footballer, I think the South African PSL is one of the biggest leagues in the continent, so I think I made a good choice," he added.
"Right now, I think, as I said, it's a good league and I made a good choice. I received an offer from Simba, and I wanted to leave, but the club didn't want me to go.
"So it was a little complicated and all those things, but my agent decided to cancel the contract, and it was really tough, and that's why I didn't play for, I think, one month or something like that."
