Niclas Fullkrug joins Borussia Dortmund: A new chapter begins

German national team striker Niclas Fullkrug has officially sealed his transfer to Borussia Dortmund from Werder Bremen.

Although there have been varying reports regarding the transfer fee, the consensus among most German football media sources settles around ‚¬13 million, coupled with an additional ‚¬2 million in potential add-ons.

Kicker Magazine, Germany's foremost football publication, stands by this valuation, confirming it to be "definitely" less than the initial ‚¬20 million demanded by Werder Bremen.

Fullkrug's commitment to Dortmund is solidified in a three-year contract, while the tactical puzzle of how BVB coach Edin Terzic will incorporate him into the team remains an intriguing prospect.

"BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl acknowledged Fullkrug's scoring prowess and his significant role in the national team's attack, stating, "Thanks to strong performances, he is rightly an important pillar in the national team's forward line. Niclas is on fire for the task at Borussia Dortmund."

Fullkrug himself expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "Borussia Dortmund is a very special club. I was delighted to receive the offer because the move to this club is exactly what I wanted." He added, "I can't wait to experience the stadium with its extraordinary fans as a BVB professional."
