Nomathemba Ntsibande anticipates a physical game against Tuks

JVW center back Nomathemba Ntsibande says she anticipates a physical game when they face off with the University of Pretoria on Sunday.

The Hollywoodbets Super League action returns this weekend from the international break, with the Bedfordview side expected to visit AmatTuks at the Pretoria University Stadium. JVW will be looking to maintain their winning momentum against a wounded AmaTuks side which lost 8-0 against Mamelodi Sundowns in their last match.

Ntsibande says they have prepared thoroughly for this game, and they will do all it takes not to drop points.

"Sunday is going to be a very difficult game, I think we are anticipating a physical game against Tuks, which is always the case. They are a very tough side to play against and I don't think it will be any different on Sunday but we are preparing very well for them and we want to make sure that again, it does not become a game where we play well and don't convert and end up dropping points," Ntsibande said.

Ntsibande added that the international break gave them time to assess their shortfalls in the first quarter of the Hollywoodbets Super League, and have noted that they created many chances, however failed to convert in most games and stated that the team will make sure they don’t drop points easily in their upcoming fixtures.

"What we've done is we 've obviously had a look at what is it that has been a challenge in the first 12 games that we've played if I'm not mistaken and we realised that our biggest challenge was in the last third and converting our chances because I feel like we created quite a lot of chances and we never get to score most of them.

“So, that's been our main focus to obviously try and make sure that we continue to train to convert as much chances as we get."
