Seema has since been appointed by Sekhukhune United on a three-year contract, while his former employers scramble for his permanent replacement.
Mohafe, who is yet to win a game since taking charge, has also now been asked to work alongside Brice Aka as co-coaches and has revealed the arrangement is a temporary measure.
"I'm not on a permanent basis, Brice Aka is coming to assist the team as a coach and we are coaches who are working well together. We are co-coaches, we are working together, we are sharing responsibilities," Mohafe said.
Mohafe appears to have left room for Polokwane City chairman Johnny Mogaladi to go on a search to fill the vacancy after admitting he lacked experience.
"We haven't been told for how long and I think with the young minds that we are, we still need to have an elder or someone who has been more into this league or someone who has more experience than us to come and guide us," Mohafe added.
The 49-year-old has only ever worked as an assistant coach, so it is not surprising he finds being in charge of a topflight side a daunting task.
When pressed on his willingness to continue to call the shots at Rise and Shine, Mohafe argued he would raise his hand if needed, but was also quick to highlight his shortcomings.
"I cannot say I'm not ready because there is no easy journey, there is no difficult journey. I'm ready, it depends on the management on what to do. I'm almost there, I think I'm 95% there and I still need to be shown certain things of football, certain aspects of football that I don't know about. Certain aspects of football that I have to learn. Certain aspects of football that I need to deal with before I can say I'm 110% ready."
