During a press conference held at the League's headquarters in Parktown on Wednesday, Khoza introduced the Betway Premiership, which will see the season commence on 10 September.
The international betting company, founded in Malta, takes over from Multichoice subsidiary DStv – whose sponsorship comes to an immediate end, a year earlier than it was contracted for.
Khoza further confirmed that Betway's backing comes in the tune of R900 million over the next three years, which the company CEO Laurence Michel further noted was the biggest single sports sponsorship in South Africa's history.
Though the Betway Premiership will only kick off in six weeks, the MTN8 will take centre stage from 3 August, as confirmed by the PSL boss.
