PSL wrap: TS Galaxy and Polokwane get away wins, Royal AM in stalemate

TS Galaxy and Polokwane City picked up away victories while Royal AM and Moroka Swallows remained goalless in PSL action played on Saturday.

Golden Arrows 0-2 TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy put the defeat in the Carling Knockout final behind them after picking up a 2-0 league victory over Golden Arrows.

Both goals were scored in the second half by substitutes with Samir Nurkovic and Nkosikhona Radebe both finding the back of the net.

Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Nurkovic opening the scoring in the 72nd minute while Radebe sealed the points for the visitors five minutes from full-time.

Chippa United 1-2 Polokwane City

Oswin Appollis struck a brace to help Polokwane City to a 2-1 away victory over Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Stadium.

Appollis opened the scoring in the 16th minute and then added a second ten minutes later as the visitors took a solid lead into the halftime interval.

The Chilli Boys pulled a goal back just after the hour mark through Ayabulela Konqobe but it wasn't enough as the home team fell to a disappointing defeat.

Royal AM 0-0 Moroka Swallows

Royal AM and Moroka Swallows could not be separated as they played to a goalless draw at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Both sides showed the urgency in attack but could not break down a stubborn defence as most threats were stopped in the final third.

It was the home side's third stalemate of the campaign as they sit 13th in the standings while the point for Swallows moves the Soweto club up to ninth.
