Ranga Chivaviro to leave Marumo Gallants

Marumo Gallants striker Ranga Chivaviro is set to leave the Limpopo side after an impressive CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

Gallants were relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship on Saturday after their 2-0 defeat against Swallows.

Chivaviro has been one of the most influential players for the Limpopo side. He has been linked with a move to Gauteng with big teams but now that might not happen.

SABC Sport understands that the 30-year-old has begun talks with Tanzanian giants Yanga SC with the deal set to be concluded in the coming week if no other team matches Yanga's offer.

Gallants were knocked out by Yanga in the CAF Confederation Cup, with talks regarding the player also understood to have been in discussion between the two clubs.

Chivaviro scored 16 goals for Gallants, six in the CAF Confederation Cup, while the other ten were scored in the league. With Marumo now relegated, his move to another club is guaranteed.
