The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) handed the 20-year-old midfielder a ban after he showed contempt towards referee Jesus Gil Manzano during Real's recent 2-2 draw with Valencia in the league clash last Saturday.
Following his red card for disputing Manzano's decision to end the match just as Bellingham headed in what could have been the winning goal from Brahim Diaz's cross in added time, the referee's report accused Bellingham of displaying an "aggressive attitude."
While Bellingham vehemently protested, shouting, "It's a fxxxing goal, the ball is in the air, what the f is that?" at Manzano, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti maintained that Bellingham "didn't insult" the referee.
Reflecting on the incident on Wednesday after Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig in the Champions League last-16 second leg tie, Bellingham expressed his discontent, stating, "I didn't think I said anything very offensive towards him."
"I feel like at times because I'm new and stuff, they want to try and make an example... I need to be responsible for my actions, and I gave him the excuse to send me off," Bellingham added.
Despite his frustration, Bellingham acknowledged his accountability, indicating his willingness to support the team from the stands during his suspension. However, he also hinted at the possibility of an appeal, suggesting that a "better agreement" could be reached between La Liga and the club.
As a consequence of his ban, Bellingham is set to miss upcoming matches against Celta Vigo at home on Sunday and the away fixture against Osasuna on March 16.
