Report: Borussia Dortmund preparing bid for Stuttgart striker Sehrou Guirassy

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are set to launch their bid for VfB Stuttgart's red-hot striker Sehrou Guirassy, according to reports.

The move, reported by Bild, comes as Dortmund look to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.

Guirassy's blistering form last season, where he netted a staggering 28 goals, has turned heads across Europe.

Italian giants AC Milan and Spanish powerhouse Atletico Madrid have both been linked with the Guinean forward. However, Dortmund appear to have a trump card - Guirassy reportedly prefers to stay within the Bundesliga if he leaves Stuttgart.

This is a crucial decision for Guirassy. At Stuttgart, he's the undisputed starting striker and helped propel them into the Champions League.

A move to Dortmund, despite their Champions League experience last season, would see him compete for a starting spot with Niclas Füllkrug.

Additionally, while Dortmund finished runners-up in the Champions League, their Bundesliga performance lagged behind Stuttgart's.

Dortmund's desire for a new striker is no secret. They're aiming to offload Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko, paving the way for a potential arrival like Guirassy.

Meanwhile, Stuttgart are already scouting potential replacements, anticipating Guirassy's possible departure.

The upcoming days will be interesting as Dortmund prepare their official offer.

With a hefty salary, a significant signing bonus, and the allure of a Champions League campaign, Dortmund will hope to convince Guirassy to swap the red and white of Stuttgart for their famous yellow and black.
