Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to sign Burnley midfielder Sander Berge this summer, with plans to make a bid of £20million.
Despite Burnley's recent relegation from the Premier League, the Lancashire club have set a firm asking price of £30million for the 26-year-old holding midfielder.
The move comes as United look to strengthen their squad, and they are reportedly prepared to offer Berge a lucrative contract worth £100,000 per week.
The Norwegian international, who joined Burnley last summer in a £12million deal from Sheffield United, has expressed enthusiasm about the potential opportunity to play at Old Trafford, famously known as the "Theatre of Dreams."
Manchester United have already initiated contact with Berge's representatives, showing serious intent in securing his services.
Burnley, while open to selling, are resolute about not lowering their asking price despite their relegation.
