The partnership announcement was made at the Richards Bay Harbour on Wednesday afternoon, in front of esteemed guests, including Minister of Electricity Kgosientso Ramokgopa.
The deal also includes a further R40 million over the course of three years, which will be entrusted to the club for use of uplifting the local community in Richards Bay, thus taking the total value of the deal to R100 million.
The Natal Rich Boyz, who just survived relegation after coming out alive in the relegation play-offs, will be hoping to see this financial injection bringing more competitiveness to their game, starting with the 2024/25 season.
The deal will see the DStv Premiership club receive at least R20 million per season from their new main partners over the course of the next three seasons, with the company logo appearing on the front of their shirts over that period.
It's official Richards Bay Football Club & Phakwe group have partnered.

Club Chairman Jomo Biyela is also hoping the new sponsorship could see the club finally getting to play their matches in front of their home crowds in Richards Bay.
Since the team got promoted to the premier division two years ago, they’ve been forced to play their home matches in Durban – two hours away from their actual base, after the Umhlathuze Sports Complex was deemed unfit to host PSL matches.
