Following news that The Natal Rich Boys have parted ways with Vusumuzi Vilakazi last night, it’s understood chairman Jomo Biyela has not wasted any time to line-up the ideal replacement to take over.
Despite saving Richards Bay from relegation last season and talk that he would be handed a new contract as reward, the former Golden Arrows midfielder and coach has since left the club and was absent from their training session this morning.
Biyela had told SABC Sport last night the club would be releasing a statement later today to confirm the latest developments.
However, the public broadcaster has learnt that Truter is expected to replace Vilakazi with immediate effect – reuniting with the side he coached several years ago in the lower division before he joined Moroka Swallows.
Truter was part of the Upington City technical team and was still with the team preparing for the new 2024/25 season, but he has now been given the greenlight to join Richards Bay.
Confirmation of the move is expected before the end of the week.
