Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has affirmed his commitment to staying with the LaLiga team for the upcoming season, expressing optimism about their prospects of securing "numerous titles" in the future.
Lewandowski, who made the switch to Barça from Bayern Munich in 2022, has registered 58 goals in 94 matches across all competitions since his arrival. He played a pivotal role in their acquisition of their first league championship since 2019 and the Spanish Super Cup during the 2022-23 campaign.
Despite a season without silverware this year, Lewandowski is eager to remain at Barça and is confident in their ability to claim trophies in the next term.
Barcelona's campaign has been overshadowed by uncertainty surrounding coach Xavi Hernández and the financial challenges confronting the club, prompting speculation that they may need to sell players to alleviate their issues.
There have been rumors suggesting that Lewandowski, who finished as the runner-up for the 2021 Ballon d'Or, could be among those players, but the 35-year-old has expressed his desire to continue representing the club.
Barcelona will face Sevilla in their final match of the season on Sunday, following which president Joan Laporta will hold discussions with Xavi regarding the coach's future.
"Of course, for me it is super clear. I want to win many titles with Barcelona and I am sure that next season we will be even stronger and we will also win titles," Lewandowski told Mundo Deportivo.
"I always want the best, not just for me, but for my teammates and I am sure that this team will win titles next season because I see what we do each day. For me that is what matters because this a club that I hold close to my heart and I want to give a lot for the team and the club."
