SAFA have submitted a bid to host the upcoming WAFCON at which Banyana Banyana will be looking to defend their crown from 2022.
Jordaan says the association has the backing of Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture Gayton McKenzie, who was in attendance when Bafana Bafana drew their opening 2025 AFCON qualifier against Uganda at Orlando Stadium on Friday.
"As far as the Minister is concerned, we will continue to work with him. We are busy talking to him on two projects – one, the WAFCON," Jordaan told SABC Sport.
"CAF will take a decision at the next Executive Meeting around the 16th of September, and we hope South Africa will be given the rights to host the WAFCON because we are the African champions also.
"So it's a huge opportunity for us, and we hope to convince CAF to give us the opportunity – the Minister is supporting that programme."
Meanwhile, despite the setback in Bafana’s AFCON qualifying journey at home, Jordaan remains positive over the road ahead as coach Hugo Broos’ charges head to Juba to face South Sudan on Tuesday.
"Yes, it was a stressful game, but our players showed the tenacity and strength to come back, and the determination to continue to have positive results," he added.
"Over the last 30 matches, Bafana have only lost two – against Rwanda and Mali, we won the rest of the games, which is 28 games that we've won or drawn.
"I think they know we have one point, and now we have to go against South Sudan and collect another point because we have to go back to the Africa Cup of Nations again.
"It won't be easy [in Juba] – firstly, there's an artificial pitch, and secondly, it's a small pitch, but they know their ability to play is there. We had chances [against Uganda] and didn't take it, but that's now part of our history, and we must continue as we go to South Sudan."
