Salihamidzic: Bayern Munich to consider January transfer moves

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic admits the Bundesliga giants are considering January signings despite his earlier reservations.

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic admits the Bundesliga giants are considering January signings despite his earlier reservations.

Salihamidzic revealed prior to the World Cup that Die Roten would not be looking to add new players in January, but the club have now reconsidered their position.

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer's season-ending injury is only one reason why Bayern may be dipping into the transfer market.

Salihamidzic confirmed that the Bundesliga leaders are "not only" planning a move for a goalkeeper.

"As you know, I'm not a fan of the winter transfer window," Salihamidzic told Sport Bild.

"But a lot happened during the World Cup break, so I'm not ruling anything out.

"We're trying to do the best for our team. We will consider all options - especially in the goalkeeping position, but not only there. We will not rush anything."

Bayern resume their league campaign away at RB Leipzig on 20 January.
