It was not until TS Galaxy appointed him in October last year that Sead Ramovic got his first taste as a head coach, such are the stringent rules in European football over who qualifies to sit in the dugout.

But the German says cutting his teeth in the lower divisions and working his way towards a UEFA Pro License was more than adequate preparation for the situation he now finds himself in with The Rockets - deep in a relegation dogfight.

Ramovic has four games to save Galaxy™s DStv Premiership status, starting with a home game against Orlando Pirates Monday the 2nd of May at 3pm.

Ramovic finally got his credentials, and not long after made the move to South Africa to replace Owen da Gama in the early weeks of the current 2021/22 season.

"Ok, look to make one thing clear, you know in Euro you can't be the first coach if you don™t have the UEFA pro license, so I be like five years the assisting coach but you know I eeeh the responsible we had a lot eeeh I think two years in the role we had a fight to stay in the league, and we did. And before I went to this club they played in the second league when I went as an assisting coach so we went up, so I have experience as the assistant coach when you can win the league and go up into the highest league and how you can stay in the league but If you don™t have the UEFA pro license the you cannot be the first coach this is why I was not the head coach" said the German mentor.

The former Wolfsburg goalkeeper is no stranger to having critics and doubters; even as a player his achievements were often questioned.

He says his work ethic pushed him up the football ladder: "I have right now the highest education as the coach and I am really proud about it, besides the UEFA pro I played with one the best players in the world and had one of best coaches in the world where I also learnt a lot, but it should not sound arrogant but I think it™s more like a confidence and we will make it, we will stay win the league"
